Don’t Try This at Home, Boys and Girls – Weekly Photo Challenge: Masterpiece
A question of balance: not just music by the Moody Blues.
She stretched, camouflaged against the rocks, nearly invisible.
I would have passed by unnoticing but for a quick flash of orange beak as she stretched and arched that elegant long neck back, back, over her shoulder.
In one single synchronized move, her wings dropped and opened slightly and her left leg came up for balance, leaving her perched on the other, with toes and claws gripping fast to the rocks.
The title of this post says “Don’t try this at home, boys and girls,” but I take it back.
You’re welcome to give it a try – if you’re a gymnast, or fencer, or ballerina.
Thanks for the Weekly Photo Challenge nudge Cheri Lucas Rowlands and WordPress.
