Once You have Tasted Flight – Weekly Photo Challenge: Carefree and Feathers on Friday

Egret
Once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return.

Amazing photo and lovely quote to match. Blessings from Isabella ][Izzy] Rose
Izzy, thanks for your kind words and for visiting my blog.
I don’ t see them in Flight that often. Great photo..see the Blue Heron a lot flying. The do hang near each other on the river:-)
Thanks! I haven’t seen the egret and the great blues peaceably co-existing here just yet. It almost happened but the egret was spooked off by a fledgling blue. Go figure.
This is a stunning photo! I really admire those who can take photos of birds . That is something that i not have a talant for . // Maria 🙂
Thanks you for the kind compliment, Maria. Birds can be a bit tricky, especially in flight, but what I have difficulty is photographing people. A bird would never ask “Does this photo make me look fat?” A human, well sometimes. 🙂
For this beauty and for you *clap
She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that’s best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes:
Thus mellowed to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.
One shade the more, one ray the less,
Had half impaired the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress,
Or softly lightens o’er her face;
Where thoughts serenely sweet express
How pure, how dear their dwelling place.
And on that cheek, and o’er that brow,
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow,
But tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all below,
A heart whose love is innocent!
She Walks In Beauty by Lord Byron
Oh my, I’m wordless at the beauty of this poem, and how well it fits the grace of the egret. Many thanks and hugs!
Fabulous pic, Babsje. I love that quote too. 🙂
Thanks so much, I’m glad you like it. The DaVinci quote is inspiring to me.
You have some very lovely photos here! Thanks for stopping by so I could check out your blog, too! 🙂
Thanks for your kind words and for visiting here. I’m glad I found your blog, too.
