    • Thanks for commenting, and yes – their wings are huge. It’s amazing to me how they work. In one of my other blog posts, there’s a view of a wing backlit by the sun. The feathers are so gossamer thin that you can see the outline of the wing’s bones!

    • Thanks so much for the kind words. Of course, the egret did all of the really hard work – he had to fly, which I certainly can’t do. It must be an amazement to be a bird.
