Me And My Shadow

“I was crying because I can’t get my shadow to stick on.”

Then Wendy saw the shadow on the floor, looking so draggled, and she was frightfully sorry for Peter. “How awful!” she said, but she could not help smiling when she saw that he had been trying to stick it on with soap.

Try as it might, the shadow just couldn’t keep up with the fledgling great blue heron soaring across the channel, passing by the concrete walls.

    • Oh, glad you liked the Peter Pan reference. How did I get this shot? Riight place at the right time, I suppose. I’ve done some other heron shadows but not many in flight, so I was happy to see this one work out. Thanks for your comment.

  6. Ahhhh …. I loved Peter Pan. The photo looks like it’s in black and white. The image looks like it could be a photo from long ago.
