Great Blue Heron on Dock Labor Day Weekend – babsjeheron

Guys? Where are you? I’m ready for the party!

.

File this under silly fun with Herons!

This post is prompted by Cee Neuner and Debbie Smyth and the creative and inspiring Lens Artists Tina, Amy, Patti, and Leya, all of whom encourage the community of photographers and writers. This week, the Lens Artists focus on gorgeous photos with the theme of Keep Walking. My submission – in the spirit of fun – shows the Great Blue Heron walking around the dock. he keeps walking in search of his friends, who are clearly late to the party.

.

Thanks to Cee for her CFFC: Tomorrow. Silly Heron, the party is TOMORROW!
.

Thanks to Debbie for her Six Word Saturday . This post title has the requisite six words!

Folks, now that some areas are opening back up, please consider supporting your local Arts communities – whether music, theater, crafts, visual arts venues, and others. All have been impacted over the past year and they need your love.

My brick & mortar presence in Massachusetts dates back to 2009 in several local venues/galleries.

  1. Dear Babsje,
great and funny – the combination of words and pictures.
    Wishing you a happy weekend
    The Fab Four of Cley
    🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

    • Many thanks for your kind words. I feel that we all could use some smiles and silliness these days. Also I had meant to comment about the book fair post in the World According to Dina. What a marvelous thing the Fab Four and the townsfolk all put together. 13,000 books is an amazing haul and speaks highly of the reading vorscity of the community. Wonderful to see. Best, Babsje

  2. A Blue feeling blue. Nobody to sip tea with or have fish sandwiches.

  3. Great series! Happy Heron!

  4. Ha! 😉 Beautiful soarer!

    • Hi John.so glad you like that soaring Heron. He is the alpha-male I mentioned in an earlier post about how to tell individual herons apart. He is the tne with the wonky broken toe that hangs down awkwardly. Thanks for your kind comment. Best, Babsje

  5. Hilarious! Happy Labor Day. We’re taking it easy at home as my husband is on call all three days. Not bad, though. We’re watching the last two days of La Vuelta cycling race, working a beautiful but really hard puzzle, and watching some rugby as well (my husband used to play). Good stuff.

  6. Long as chicken is not on the grilling menu, LOL. 🙄😏😉

  7. Girls gotta have fun every now and then! 😉
